"Quail Thread-Hatching, Mutations, and everything quail related!!!"

Does anyone else have Button Quails that never seem to stop being broody?
Every single hen I have wants to set, and all of them have hatched and raised chicks. I actually have one hen setting now and her chicks should be hatching very soon.
The little birds are crazy, I swear. Lol
They never stop!

What do you already know about them and what aspects are you most looking for as to information on them? Housing, feeding, etc? There's a lot if you don't narrow it down down a bit. Ahaha.

Do I need to split up roosters and hens?
Do I feed them 22% gamebird feed like my jumbo coturnix?
Are they hard to raise?

I keep mine in pairs. They seem happiest this way as they like to pair up and I have made the mistake early in raising them, of putting them in trios. Sometimes they will pair up and gang up on the other hen that the male favors least. I give my Button Quails 28% protein feed. I'm not sure that 22% would be okay or not, I'm sorry.
They're fairly simple to raise, there can be trouble hatching the eggs, but once that is under control there aren't many problems except what you would normally come across with other quails. Also the hens need a calcium supplement, I'm not sure if that's different from Coturnix, or not. I hope that helps. They are marvelous little birds and fun to watch and have. :)

How do you know which is male/female?
Also, if you covey them up, will the males fight the others like usual?
