Quail tractors?

I have pens on the ground, and I move them every couple of months. I'm about to move two of them onto the garden bed that I've retired for the fall. I keep their hides, food, and water all in the same places, so they don't seem to get upset when they move.

I put them into a tote while I'm moving their pen, arrange everything in the pen, then put them back in.

Here are a couple of pictures.

I have a 3x3 breeder cage I built that I tractor around the yard every day when it’s being used. The quail don’t mind. I have hardware cloth on the bottom so their feet don’t fall thru and they can still feel and peck the grass and get bugs. When the hardware cloth rusts, I’ll replace it with larger sized holes and see how it goes now that they know how to “ surf”. They squat down and put their wings out from their bodies slightly as I tilt and move it, very cute. Then I throw some treats around to get them exploring and pecking the grass. Here’s a pic:

There’s a bin attached to the side with heavy duty zip ties, and it drags along with the tractor. I remove the cinder block before I move the cage haha.
