I am new to the forum, I raise quail in the tropics (Costa Rica). I live at about 3,500 ft. elevation and the weather is springlike all year, never under 55 or over 85 degrees. The quail love it and are very prolific.

One of the restaurants i sell to approached me about adding Chucker's. Does anyone out there have experience with these birds in a tropical environment?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks , Rod

One of the guys I worked with on some of my quail has them here in Arizona. He says they do great here and it gets much higher temps in the summer but our winters are much like what you describe. So I bet they do well. He did also say they are the meanest bird he has ever raised. They really like to kill each other so your going to need a lot of room to keep them separated. I thought about raising them because of the larger amount of meat but I just don't have the room.
