she walks around on her knees not really floppingSorry, you haven't received a reply yet. I don't have quail, so I'll tag @TwoCrows , and @007Sean for help.
Could you answer a few questions?
The bird in question is around one month old, correct? What are they being fed? What kind of substrate are they being kept on, and what were they kept on in the past? Do you have any pictures or a video of the bird? To post a video upload it to a video platform like youtube or vimeo, and copy/paste the link here.
How long has the bird been acting like this? Have you inspected her legs, for signs of swelling, discoloration, warm spots, lesions, and ensure all joints bend properly?
Please specify "flopping around on her knees". Is she walking on her knees, or does she flop around, almost like she has ataxia?
Can you get a photo of her feet, legs and hocks (her knees) so we can see what they look like?she walks around on her knees not really flopping
Thanks for the photos! Nothing looks injured or swollen. I will have to agree with @Eggcessive she may some sort of deficiency. I would definitely get her on a good vitamin B supplement. I have had great luck with Poly Vi Sol (without the iron) a couple drops orally daily for a couple of weeks may help strengthen her muscles and tendons.it's very hard to get a proper picture of her legs because she's very squirmy.View attachment 2376482
