Quail?

Hey, I live in Utah, really close to SLC, and I was thinking about getting some quail. What would be the best kind for where I live? I want them to be pretty nice, not very flighty, and I know I don't want to eat the eggs, so I don't want them to lay a lot.

My dad likes the look of Gambels quail, but I think they're pretty flighty.

What kind do you like, and could you post pictures?

The only ones I'm very familiar with are coturnix, and they are egg laying machines! Bobwhites lay a lot of eggs as well.

Most quail, besides coturnix, are flighty. As for the egg laying, you could always cook the eggs and feed them back to the birds

go with coturnix they come in like 5 different color varieties and they are super nice and pretty not flightly (especially if u clip a wing) and lots of pplz here sell theirs and online just look it up

I like the dark ones, and the tuxedos. I will definitely show my dad! Problem is I have to build a new coop before I get them, and I have to finish roofing before I can start...
