It’s almost winter here and it snows here. Can 3 month old Coturnix quails survive in the snow? What should I do???
 
I don’t live in a cold region, so I’ve no idea how cold tolerant they are. They’re so tiny it’s hard to imagine they’d be ok in snow. Hopefully this bumps the thread back up so someone can chime in.

make sure the water doesn’t freeze and quail coturnix can adapt to temperatures down to zero. it also helps to have warm dry areas for them to escape out of the weather like little hideaways
 
A dry, draft free area for them is adequate. Gamebirds can not withstand wet, cold and muddy conditions. Also, scratch grains given before roosting will help keep their internal body temperature up to withstand a extreme cold night.
