We put 48 eggs in the incubator and we have hatched 26 and 12 more are coming i just thought i'd put some pics cause there so cute. also how long should you keep them in the incubator after they hatch???

xxx :)

Aww, congratulations! I just love the little fuzzies.

New babies should be fine until your hatch is done, but can be taken out and put in the brooder after they fluff up and can move around pretty well on their own.

omg! they are sooo cute! we have 40 some eggs in an incubator...how old are these chicks in the pictures?

Some of them are only about a day the others are 2 or three. Now we have 30 quails hatched and still 5 more hatching and all the rest except 4 are all moving like crazy. Good luck with your hatch. Unfortunatly we lost one and have one premature one :(

Aren't they just precious??? Mine started hatching yesterday. I think they are about done now. When i removed some to the brooder at lunch today, I listened to the other eggs real quick and didn't hear any peeping or taps like I did yesterday. I got 38 babies. One of mine doesn't look too hot either. I had to help him this morning since he was stuck for a long time and was really dried out. Mine were shipped eggs, so I am glad I got any at all.

we thought we had 9 more hatching and only one hatched out of them. They even had cracked a hole and everything but only one hatched on the 25th day.

One of them has a funny leg she/he's leg keeps going out behind him/her and he/she can't walk properly. He/she still eats food and drinks water fine. She/he just sit's in the little tunnel houses i mad them i'm really worried cause i am a huge animal lover i don't want to see him/her in pain anymore :(

Im gonna do the plaster thing Spraddle Legs - PoultryHelp.com - Your Best Online Source for Poultry Raising Information on this websight right away
i will post a pic of the quail then a pic of after thanx
XH

i tried putting the plaster on it's leg but it didn't make a difference it still couldn't walk and the others were pecking it so i took it off i think it is only one leg. This is the
only way i can think of showing you what i can see.

so it is all wobely because one leg is shorter than the other!!!

they use band aids to repair button legs do not know if that would help yours you wrap one side of the band aid around one leg then leaving a small space pull the other leg into position and wrap the opposite end of the band aid on it. good luck
