Quails or chicks with poults

Which should i use or which do you all think is better to raise with poults to help them with how to eat and drink baby quails or chicks

Quail are just too small. Cicks are fine but I use guineas. They are small but grow fast and have the same diet and incubation as the poults. I find sometimes when I have chicks on the 30%, they sometimes get pasty butt. I never have that problem with 20% medicated chick starter. It may not even be the higher protien but I can't get medicated turkey or gamebird starter here.
