I am so sorry I didn't realize you were the new Quail Police here on the board. Didn't see you when I was here more often with the nice quail folk. Using Insults is your way of doing business I guess. At least before you bother to ask questions if you don't know the person or situation. I will definitely remember you...in my own way.

I dont want to get in the middle of a release or not to release debate(by the way, if it wasn't for releasing birds we wouldn't have wild turkeys here). I just wanted to add my button quail are very noisy at times. I think I have 2 males. Every time the phone rings or a roo crows outside, they make that high pitch noise. Some times they start at like 4 in the morning, just cuz there board. Also they do stink worst than a chicken.....Just my 2 cents.

I'm sorry for the blow up on my first post. Well I'm pretty sure I will take the plunge and get Jumbo Japanese, I say Japanese because I'm not exactly sure how to spell Cortoux off the top of my head

The plan is to start small I'm going to use some old 24 by 30 rabbit cages and build a small shelter over them. I would like to be able to breed them but I am tempted to start with just females. My neighbors overlook my property all around so I doubt I can keep it a complete secret, think two family homes, not suburbia. I hope to be able to raise some turkeys this year at a buddies place with a bit of land, last year I raised Franken Chickens...... Thanks for all of the help and encouragement. Anything else I should consider as I get started?

After all the duck threads I have read about people dumping ducks at local ponds after finding them to be too much bother, the reaction here is totally understandable.
