Just a quick note, my two pekins (one drake) spend alot of time eating greens, roots and what have you along the banks edge and hopefully algae from my pond (1/3 acre). (Very helpful for weed control) Also have alot of small gill but the blue heron keeps them in check.... Never noticed the pekins going after the gill. Think you'll appreciate them just for that....
