My son has been attempting to raise Dutch in 4-H and FFA for about 5 years. He is making progress with his birds, but as you know it takes TIME. He has been focusing only on cream light brown, but has recently acquired a pair of silver and a pair of buff columbian. He shows in a very small county in Oregon, but did come out with both best bantam in show and best bird in show. I am wondering if he is doing right by the breeding and should continue or what changes he should be making? I know this is only one picture, but please comment on what you see, both good and bad, in this bird. His hens are better than his cocks, but he is making strides in improving. Unfortunately, the cocks are always molting during his August fair. Ha! This is my first post here so perhaps the picture won't even be good?
