Mek,

Mek, it is commendable that you are thinking hard about bio-security. It is always better to be safe than sorry. outside of infected birds, tracking feces and contaminated body fluids are your biggest concerns.

I have both species, and at times have both species young'ns in separate brooders. but I do not share feeders or waterers, the Quail have their own. I wash my hands alot with antibacterial soap, I disinfect brroders, waterers and feeders for both species and I have also learned to cull quicker if I see something brewing.

sounds like you run a tight ship. got to remember, your chickens/other birds may be clean...they "may" not be carriers of anything infectious, but if they are and your Quail catch it, it may hit em hard.

hope you dont ever have to deal with anything like it, keep up the good thinking and work.

Is a picture good enough? Just because it works for you doesn't mean it will work for me. So are you saying chickens can't give coryza to quail? Plus why would you want them together? They have different feed requirements and they are so much smaller. It is not advised to keep bantams with largefowl, but it's okay to keep quail with chickens? Why keep beating a dead horse? People have argued this many times and it gets people nowhere. Gotta throw in this heresay.
