It's odd, though, making this type. Some blocks, standing alone, don't look good at all, but their color value blends in with others of similar value so it's the way it's supposed to be. I need more fabrics, though. Nothing else in my stash is right for this and I don't want to use the same ones over and over.

That's very sweet of you. Just PM me with what you want for them, okay? Are they 100% cotton fabrics?

My eyes are crossing and have been fighting a headache all day long, probably from the weather front that roared through here last night and today. Gotta quit for tonight, but I see two of the darker blocks that need to come out of there--they stand out way too much. Pics are so useful--I always see things more clearly in a picture than I do in person.

I've always wanted to do one of these too. One day.....

For a design wall buy a vinyl table cloth with a felt back, they're pretty cheap, and tack it up somewhere. You need it for this project!! I'm doing a quilt for my parents using over 200 different shades of pinks and purples, blending the colors. If you don't have enough room to get way back and eye it you can use a peep hole from a door. It will give you the correct perspective. Can't wait to see this completed. You'll be done before me I'm sure!!

My problem is that I don't have a wall large enough in my house for this unless I move my bed. I did move a chest of drawers just to put up this. That's the problem with living in a small house with no hallway and no wasted space, LOL.

hows this for variety?

some are FQ size, some are just scraps left over from other projects, and a few are larger pieces that I have to much of or picked up at garage sales. they are all washed and ironed. do these work for your quilt?
