Hi animal lovers
I have funny behaviour happening on my Petite Farm here in France. We currently have 37 chickens 21 are pullets (too many to name) 2 geese (1gander 1 goose) 3 roosters two papillon rabits ( sisters waiting for a boyfriend) Ebony & Ivory and two cats Charlotte & Cleopatra
The queer thing is that my gander Clyde tried mating with my goose Bonney a month ago now she wont have anything to do with him. She now follows my rooster Dominique around and honks everytime he crows. She has made a nest but no eggs yet. Im thinking maybe she is too young they are both approx 10 months old. I hope she falls back in love with Clyde as we really want baby gosling this Summer.

Welcome!

Sorry, I too have no experience with geese but you should get some good responses on the Geese Forum that CTKen has given you a link to.

Best wishes!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends
