The reason it works with dark hens is because "dark" Brahmas are basically silver pencilled/partridge.

Any crossing of a silver or barred hen on a non-silver or non-barred roo makes sex links. You can't do reverse sex-links though.

well the offspring of my buff roo and my light one is right here. so i would look for a silverbacked chick and that would be a male? cos it grew up into a light roo. the light is pidgin, the mama
