Question about brooder in garage

Update
The move has been made to Chick Mansion Lol
I have the brooder heat plate and purchased a brooder light.
I had both on all day.
K, Callie and Goldie were very happy and active.
They are and drank all day and love their little roost.
Goldie looks very small but she’s actually 2 1/2 weeks.
She’s a golden laced Wyandotte
K is the RIR she’s been trying to fly all day.
Calie is a California. Didn’t really want this breed, but a friend hatched for me.
She is so sweet.
So they’re in Garage
I had to turn off light because night fell and they we’re trying to all quiet down under the light .
I don’t want to lower light to make warmer with K trying to fly.
I waited about 1 hour and they’re are all under heat plate.
Thanks for all the advice
Oh if they’re chirping under plate should I lower?
Thank you

Oh if they’re chirping under plate should I lower?
Are they just quietly telling bedtime stories....or is it a loud 'distress' cheeping?
Plate should be low enough for them to touch their backs to it....and at an angle, higher in front than back, so they can pick their sweet spot.
