Question about broody duck

I hope my question makes sense & doesn't sound stupid!!!! My 1 female duck Olivia went broody she is sitting on a nest of 8 eggs, I was able to count them when she went for a swim!! Okay, my question is, I know incubation is 28 days ( she's a Rouen ) when does the count down start??? She went full broody this past Friday but prior to that she would sit on the nest at night & for a little in the mornings but didn't start fully sitting until Friday ( only got off of the nest for a few minutes ). So, do I start counting from Friday went she started fully sitting or do I count back when she was on the nest all night & a little in the mornings???

Great, thanks! Now I will know the expected hatch date!!! I'm so excited!!!! Like I said in the post there are 8 eggs in the nest, I know nobody can really predict but what is the normal hatch rate??? What in your opinion should I expect to get???
