question about chicken mites

when we finally get new birds, should they be treated with spray (ok for birds)by spraying or by dunking?

sand bath with permithium powder do the trick for new birds when cages are ready?

The dunking, it gets a heavy coat and only needs to be done once or twice a week . spraying has to be done more often, and a powder sand bath wouldn't hurt to do every once in a while
