question about chicks with their mommas

I have 12 Silkie chicks that are 4 weeks old..they are with their momma, with a light at night, outside..is a light neccessary when they are with the hen?

is the momma sitting under the light?

is it a red light or a white light?

I think it's a good idea to keep a light going just for peace of mind. Red would be preferable over white.

Its a white light and the hen and chicks have enough room to be under light or not..I do cover their cage with a blanket at night too..
