Question about Coops/My Coop Idea

I live in New England(northern ct), where it gets cold in the winter and hot in the summer and we have all kinds of weather.

I was wondering what kind of coops/runs you guys have for your ducks, I plan on getting 6-10 ducks. I am currently looking at the stress free chicken tractor design by John Suscovich. I was planning on using ground contact wood and adding some sort of metal paneling on the back and 50% of the side to add more protection during cold windy days. I will let the ducks free range in my fenced in back yard during the day, and lock them up in the tractor at night. Just wanted to know if this is a good idea or if I should look into making a more 'coop'/permanent structure. I also like the move-ability of the chicken tractor, but if its better for the ducks I will settle for a non-move-able one. I also would like something I could walk into even though I know ducks don't need a ton of head space.

Information that may be useful: The confirmed duck breeds I am getting are. 1 Cayuga(f), 2 khaki campbells(f), 2 muscovys(straight run), and 1 American Buff gosling. Will maybe getting an additional 4 Muscovys(straight run). But depending on gender of the muscovys will only be keeping 3-4 females to 1 male, permanently.

Here's a general Image of what the tractor looks like(not mine). The tractor is 6 feet by 10 feet.

Thank you for reading!

Those dont look super secure, but definitely light! If you have the land to move them constantely that's nice. I have found that moveable coops tend to become semi permanent because moving them is work.

Yea I was planning on using more heavy duty 1/2 inch wire on the bottom and bigger metal squares on the top instead of chicken wire. guess its only flaw is if anything digs under but hopefully my fenced in yard will prevent fox's and coyotes.

If you wanted to keep the moveable design you could put some reinforced paneling that extends 2' out and 2' inside? Only way I can think a duck tractor could be mobile without having to dig everyday.
