Question about DE

Yesterday I bought some DE from the feed store. I haven't put it out yet because the lady at the feed store said it was not food grade, but it is given to horses to eat for a dewormer. I'm not sure if I should take it back. We put seven on our flock last night to kill the mites. I have time to wait on new DE if I need to order a different kind. Any suggestions?

Personally if it wasn't food grade I wouldn't use it.

You can take it back and trade it and if they don't have the food grade then have them to order you some. I don't think they would mind at all. Also ask them to keep it in stock, if possible, so you won't have to go through this again.

Do not use it...Has to be Food Grade DE....
