Question about determining sex of chicks?

I have 2 chick eggs due to hatch today. The dad rooster is a Rhode Island Red/Plymouth Rock. The mom hen is a Sapphire Gem. I know that sapphire gems are sexlinks. So, does that mean I can tell if my chicks are pullets or cockerels when they hatch by characteristics or no? I think a sapphire gem cockerel has a white dot on its head as to where the pullets don’t. But since the chicks are not a full sapphire gem & dad was a Rhode Island Red/Plymouth rock I didn’t know if sex of the chicks could be dertermined like you can with sexlinks.

I’m so curious to see what my chicks will looks like!

Unfortunately that cross will not produce sex-linked chicks.

Okay because one chick has a white dot on its head and the other doesn’t… so that doesn’t mean anything correct? & I’ll have to wait until older to determine the Sex of the chicks?
