My chicks are 2 weeks old today. I have one that is far behind the others in feathering and I have read that may mean roo..... Is it possible she is just a pullet that is lagging? This chick is the most timid of the group and generally does not get involved in the chaos, but is the only chick that I have ever seen chest bump another when they get excited. She is growing and active and is not the smallest. There is still not even a hint of tail feathers...

It is a columbian wyandotte

Is there good hope for a pullet?

I had a blue Wyandotte pullet that took FOREVER to feather in. She was only a week younger than the others, but was really small, and the others were almost triple her size before she even STARTED feathering. She normal size now...

I have read that Wyandottes are slower to feather than most breeds. I did the research because I had the same question that you do. Don't give up hope yet!!

I had a Buff Orp that was layin eggs and STILL had only a fuzzy butt and no tail ....was the weirdest thing...we named her NO BUTT
