Question about Greenfire farms

I have ordered from them before..This last time they sent us sick birds.. by the time we realized it our whole flock was infected. We lost our whole flock.. Terrible experience. I have sent numerous emails and many phone calls. Jenny hasn't returned my calls in weeks. Be very careful working with this company. Before this last order. I would have backed them 100%!

What were the chicks sick with. How long before you introduced chicks to flock? I just got some chicks from them but they seem okay and its been about 10 days that I have had. I keep them in my kitchen for a few weeks before I let them anywhere near the pens/coops.
I am sorry that you had that kind of experience and your whole flock got sick.

It would have been possible that your flock may have an existing illness like MS/MG that laid dormant and when you introduce the new birds to them, they all got sick.

If they did sent you sick birds, you would have quarantined them and do some preventive bio security measures. AND have a vet come out for his diagnoses and findings that they were sick when you got them so you can get your money back or replacements.

I am sorry you had to deal with that. It is heart wrenching when it happens.

I had the same experience. I ordered 18 birds from them back in April and have lost several from lymphoid leukosis (LL). We paid for necropsies so we could understand what was going on. The symptons for LL do not present until birds are 6 months or older. We kept them separated from our other flock. This has devastated us.
