Right now my hens sleep on the perch in their coop and I'm worried that when they start laying they won't move to the nest to lay, cause if they don't then I'll have egg yolk every where please help.

put golf balls in the nesting box, but they won't lay while they are sleeping, they always roost, they will lay in the day, and if you put the the golf balls in the nesting box, then that will teach them where to lay.

Mine sort of seemed surprised by their first egg and dropped them in the dirt inside their run. Upon seeing this I locked them all up inside their coop for a week to help them figure out where it was best to lay. I too put fake eggs in the boxes to help them figure it out a little better.
