Having just had to bring one girl inside the house for a little bit to clean up a wound (she yanked one of her claws completely off!
) and wait for it to stop bleeding, I was wondering how people approach their medical coops (in the case of non-contagious, non-life-threatening problems). Is it better to have a medical coop near the main coop so the sickie can hear the other birds and not feel too isolated? Or would being able to hear but not get to/be with the others just cause more stress? Again, this is in the context of situations where you need to separate a bird to keep the others from bothering a wound or something along those lines. How do you guys handle this?
