so I have a hen with a canker. I did my research and it's 100% a canker, she probably got it from prolonged use of antibiotics (because of her crd). No one else in the flock has it.
It's spread down under her tongue, as well as her cheek and I've been cleaning it almost daily as well as syringe feeding her because she can't eat on her own.
my question is with the metronidazole does it need to wash/come in contact with the canker to work, aka everytime she drinks from her water bowl that has the metrondazole it comes in contact with, or can I syringe feed it her (still using the dosage on the packet) every few hours because it doesn't need to come in contact with the canker to work.
