Question about my silkie

I have 4 silkies- one which a couple of days ago I noticed the skin area- sorry new to chicks not sure of technical names-above the beak area, under there puffy hair on there head is red- the other 3 is black/greyish color. What can it be? I will try to post a pic later if I can figure out how to download it.

Yeah pictures will help. Is it red from injury or what? Could they be pecking at it?

Sorry, but could it just be that one is a male and the rest are girls. Males get a redish purple comb as they mature,especially the light colored ones. The females stay black grey. On my white male it is a real burgendy color.
