I got in late yesterday evening, after the girls were roosting. I went to move my BO onto a different roost, and felt something odd (I pick them up fairly often, so know their "feel"). Her abdomen area under her vent, starting at about the back of her legs, was swollen in a rounded shape. I could cup the area with my palm. Eggbound jumped into my head, although I KNOW for certain she'd laid an egg the day before (not sure about yesterday). Anyhow, it was too late to treat, and I'm off to work as soon as I hit "submit", but I'm going to tackle this as soon as I get home. I haven't done a physical inspection this morning, but the area under where she was roosting had lots of normal looking poop this morning (I scrape each morning). So my question is....does this sound like potential eggbound-ness??? I was thinking they couldnt' poop much if they were eggbound??? I'm hoping I'll get home today and find her egg in the box and that'll be it...but if not, I don't want to spend a lot more time researching when I could be soaking her, etc. I'm so hoping she will feel "normal" by the time I get home today....
