question about pulling feathers

i have a hen that the other 3 hens are pulling out her butt feathers anyway to stop this besides eating the chicken

If her Hind end is Raw try putting some Neosporin on it and that may stop it if not you will either have to get rid of her or just put her in a place alone until her feathers grow back.

there is a spray out there called quell. i bought it but have yet to use. my vet told me it is safe if used lightly but i am still worried it might effect the eggs.

You can spray the peckee with Better Bitters, Bitter Apple or Phooey!. They all taste awful so the birds won't peck the feathers. Obelisk did this last year with Slifer's bum feathers. She'd eat them too. It was probably a cross of boredom and needing more protein. Then I'd use the BluKote.

I got this stuff from the feed store called "rooster booster" its a black tarry substance. I put it on 3 of my hens that were getting their butt picked and the picking stopped immediatly.
