Question about pumpkin seeds

The problem is that people keep perpetuating the myth that it has an effect on worms.

Last time I looked I could not find any proof that it works at all.

I think it will do no harm. A much better treat than scratch, I would think.

I get a truck load after the holiday and throw them in the poultry yard.. they last through the winter.. they love them

If the seeds are too big for your birds, put them in the blender. The food value is worth the effort, I would grow pumpkin as a crop if I had the space.

And i understand that, it should not be looked at as a sole option. For that matter in most parasites any single form of treat ment should not be considered a sole option as prevention also has to be considered

I really thought they would go at them like crazy and if they were too big they would get caught in their crop.
Well...turns out I didn't need to worry...
Only Speckles gave them a look...the rest weren't interested at all...so spoiled...i put the rest in freezer bags. Maybe in the winter they will think it's a treat.

My girls prefer butternut squash to acorn.
If I remember right they were kinda the first time they got pumpkin seeds too.

Here my goats eat the pumpkins and chickens get sloppy seconds. Mine never seemed thrilled with pumpkin either.
