So I was wondering if it is ok to have trimmed up trees and small bushes inside the run area. The spot I'm looking at would have a mature tree, but I've pruned it up to about six feet before the first limbs could be reached. The shrubs in this area are small to the ground and couldn't be used as a springboard to get out of the run area. Would these be ok? Or do I need to void the run area of any tree or shrubs?

Shrubs and trees are great. They give the birds a place to roost and a place to hide from overhead predators.... sounds like it will a perfect setup. Good luck!

Would be great. Gives them some shade in the summer months too.
