Question about selling roosters?

Thank you for your opinions.

They are a young adult couple. They don't even have one chicken! The girl said she tried to raise a chick on breadcrumbs

. We explained to her how to raise them.

I don't think I'm giving them the roosters. I just have a bad feeling about it. You know, I mean who wouldn't want a hen? That and they couldn't afford an expensive bird for fighting. They saw 2 of the roosters fighting in my yard.

If you've got a bad feeling--sounds like you're doing the right thing. If you can't find a good home, perhaps you have a neighbor (like I did) who would be happy to have a free dinner, and is experienced with butchering.

Thanks! I never thought of that! He raises beef cattle. And he also said "So, I heard you have chickens..." when the roosters started crowing.

sounds like your cattle neighbor is a great solution, maybe you can trade a few roos for a nice steak
