Question about shipped eggs?

I have eggs being shipped to me. I have my incubator ready to go, temperature is already set and everything. I was wondering, when the eggs arrive should I wait 24hrs before setting them into the incubator or do I put them in sooner than that? I am new to incubating shipped eggs and still fairly new to incubating any eggs really.

Why do you need to wait? (I've never had any shipped eggs, but plan to soon

We let ours sit overnight, which is not quite 24 hours. Our mail comes around 3 pm, we upwrap them and place them aircell up in a clean egg carton. Then they are placed in the incubator the following morning.

I generally pick the eggs up in the morning from the PO and let them set till evening and then I put them in.

Why do they need to sit?

The reason you let them sit is if they have had a rough ride letting them sit settle's them down and make them more stable. You get a better hatch

All I really know about letting them settle is that it allows the air cell to grow inside the egg and allows everything inside the egg return to normal after the jarring it receives during shipping.
