Question about sick rabbit

I'm so sorry

We have meat rabbits too and it would be hard losing any of them like that, but those things happen.

In the future, try breeding two does at the same time just in case anything would happen to one you have the other as backup to shuffle the babies over. We have 9 does that I breed 3 at a time just in case. I'm always afraid something like that would happen to mine and I wouldn't have another momma around.

I'm not sure. We purchased them from a chef who wanted meat for his restaurants and he didn't feel comfortable killing the rabbits. I was under the impression that this was the 'mom' and she'd had one litter before we got her. So most likely less than 2.

We put the two remaining buns down. So sad.
