Hi, I'm new here,, so hello everyone. My question is...I have two female ducks, one male. My females have layed and are sitting on eggs. My one female has layed in the middle of a large patch of nettles. she hasn't moved in days, and when I go near she hisses at me. I have heard cheeping for a few days now but don't see any babies. Do I just leave her be, I can't touch her because of the nettles. I haven't seen her get up and get food or water for several days.?

If she is sitting out, unprotected from predators, I would move her. Long sleeves, gloves. Be prepared to move little ones and eggs about to hatch. Prepare the site you are moving her to first.

Or

Build a predator-proof structure around her.

Well since I posted this. She appeared at the water bowl. When I looked into where her nest is, there is nothing there, no eggs, no ducklings. ???? There have been no predators anywhere near.
