i was of the understanding that splash is splash. the other day, i was introduced to a splash cockeral with some copper in its neck feathers. i promise, he is a splash. has anyone else seen this?
  2. Hi! It was probably from a blue x blue cross involving a blue bird with 'leaky' gold/red.

It could be from any breeding that gives two copies of blue. But there are also insufficient melanizers to keep the hackles from showing colour. It isn't that uncommon an occurrance, and it is a DQ
