Do Delaware roosters carry the barring gene? I know that a rooster that does not carry the gene over a hen that does produces females that are not barred and males that are.
I have a chick from a Barred Rock hen that was bred by a Delaware rooster. I was expecting all the females to be solid colors but I have one that I swear is a female that looks just like a Barred Rock. The chick is 10 weeks old and shows absolutely NO male charactoristics.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for the info! I guess the "He" I was referring to is really a "She"!
