Question about the insides of an egg? fertile?

So my chix eggs have a regular egg white but then in between that and the yolk is a denser/much thicker white. Is this due to them being fertile?We do have roos but I collect the eggs 3x/day. Or is it just how "real eggs" (non-store bought) are? First time with home layed eggs so I have not a clue.

That's just part of the structure of the egg. I think it's just more noticeable with a really good, fresh egg. If they are fertile, you will see a small bullseye on the yolk.
