question about treats for chicks

just wondering about treats for the chicks. I have two that are about 3-4 weeks old and 4 that are 2 to 3 weeks old. I dont want to bother with grit just yet cause their brooder is not huge. Not sure where I would put another container for grit. I saw some bricks of treats with stuff for chicks in it at TSC and wondered if they needed grit to have this. Thanks for any input.

I just found a post that was made earlier and read up on the treats. Im thinking boiled eggs and yogurt first?

I can't say it's not ok but IMO, I'd hold off on a treat brick just yet. They need all the starter/grower their little beaks can eat for proper development. As an occasional treat freeze dried meal worms are good protein. Mine loved pecking at alfalfa leaves as well.
