Question about Wyandottes

5 weeks sounds about right....maybe 6 weeks

By that age you should have a pretty good idea about how much lacing they're going to have. Here's a picture of some of mine at 6 weeks. I've got some newer ones at about 10 weeks that I haven't put on photobucket yet.

Mine don't have that pretty lacing, but I haven't noticed them molting either......I'll go take some pics to post on here.....give me about an hour.

My Poppy doesn't have nearly the lacing that your does and she is 8 weeks old here.

I won't show her your picture. She might be jealous!

okay so the camera battery went dead I will get pics up soon, but mine look like cambriagardener's Poppy. Very similar to GoldenSilverLaced' 6.5 week old chick also. Maybe I just need to wait longer
