*QUESTION AND UPDATE POST 8* What is wrong with some of my chicken??

GREAT NEWS! EVERYONE IS ALIVE AND WELL THIS MORNING!! It was a pretty restless night for me. I worried all night. I went out this morning and everyone is well!!!

The "drunk" thing you described is just them becoming accustomed to the weight of the water.

When rain hits them, it repels off of their feathers thanks to the oily coating. But when you dip them and move the feathers around, the water is able to get to the skin and completely soak the feathers. This added weight along with the fact that it's not normal for a chicken to be wet all the way to the skin, would have caused an imbalance. Once they dried off, they should be able to walk around fine.

I dust my birds every 3 months for the "just-in-case" type of thing. I put the Sevin dust directly on their bodies and I also dust the entire coop with a paint brush.

Leaves a nice little smell when the dust has decreased.

So the odd thing is that NONE of my girls have eggs at their vents!!! I do the vent blow on them and only saw the mites/lice 5 days ago!

I feel like such a shmuck about this. How in the world did they get into my flock in the first place! How in the world did they take over my flock in such a short amount of time?

Do I need to dip them again? Or will the Seven dust take care of the rest? Do I use the Seven like DE and just sprinkle it all over? Do I need to get the DE out before I sprinke Seven?
