Since Math is not one of my stronger points, let me ask- IF you hatched eggs at 21 days (3 weeks) or IF you shipped eggs at 14 days (2 weeks) and they arrive at, say, day 17, that would still be less than 21. ??
OK, now I'm really confused.
well I had a bad experience here and several people asked me to put the name on the thread as they felt it was only fair to warn other members . I did that and was then attacked horribly because I released the name . I then erased all my posts from the thread.
I have asked for a refund on paypal with no response for 3 days.
I recieved 3 PM messages telling me they had the same problems with this BYC member.
I find it very frustrating that it is considered flaming when we attempt to resolve the issue and then post a name. My intent was not to flame someone but to warn other members. I wish I had known ahead of time from these 3 members as I would not have made the purchase.
We are encouraged to put sellers on a positive feedback thread but not allowed to state any negitive feed back.
Not trying to take over your thred just forwarning you to not reveal the name of the seller.
sry that happened to you.
I would not pay them any extra money and a stocking fee , get real no way !
I have had eggs shipped pointy side up and i do think it does make a differance , i was always taught pointy side down , big end up to store , ship and to set eggs.
I also beleive the shipper sould send you fresh eggs , nothing more than a few days old .
I have hatched eggs that were older than that and they have done fine but it does lower the hatch rate sometimes.
I have never heard of any of that info changing , if so i am way behind on the times

When I incubate MY eggs to hatch for myself. I collect them up for about 3 weeks. During those 3 weeks, I turn them several times daily.
When I sell hatching eggs to ship to other people, those eggs are only 2-3 days old at the most. Those are also turned several times daily.
But I think if we had a negative feedback thread it would only be bad. It would be nothing but argueing on there and hard feelings and more attacking. I do feel that thats why we have the positve feedback thread though. If the persons name isnt on there that your buying from then beware. It doesnt nessaserally mean that if their name isnt on there your gonna be taken advantage of. I mean we all have to start somewhere but if they are not on there ask more questions about shipping practices and maybe even search their posts to see who bought eggs from them and pm them to ask them how their shipment was.
I do agree with roosty on the feedback thread and ask the seller lots of questions about their shipping, packaging and the way they store their eggs may help.

Normally I wouldnt say things like this but with the case of you sending money already and them asking for more.. If they are BYC people I would tell people aobut them , its one thing to shipp eggs diffrently you simply dont buy from them again but people takeing money not shipping eggs then asking for more then saying they will charge you for cancleing youre order isnt just bad practice its well ... I just wont go there as my words woudnt be family forum aproprate. Depending on how much these eggs costs I mean small amounts are bad enought but if these were expensive eggs I would even be tempted to contact a lawyer about it.
, and if its considerd bad practice to say names here well I would find a politicly correct way to let futur victims know whats going on with these people.
Good luck
