Question for BS experts (and I mean that in the nicest possible way)...

For me it's too early to even guess. If the chick darkens as it grows it will most likely be a male if it doesn't darken then it will be a girl. Only males show green neck feathers.

That's interesting; I have at least2 males!

Little Yellow coming up on 5 months. She just started getting color in crest feathers and a tiny speck on her neck...

I have one whose crest is just like this!

Here are some BS pea chicks hatched 3 months ago. I saw green in one of their necks today for the first time.
From what I have learned so far, and keep in mind I am a newbie, the girls have the smudged looking feathers on their backs and the boys have sharp distinct black feather tipping.

I have seen this subject come up many times before but never thought I would be asking it...who knew our girl would be hatching a BS baby??? So, those of you with BS baby experience... What do you think about Little Yellow, boy or girl?

My light babies were solid yellow now look at them. They are 2.5 months old.

From this photo I guess that the 3 on the right are girls, I am pretty sure the BS on the left is male though.
