Question for BS experts (and I mean that in the nicest possible way)...

New2 - your LY looks like it may have some Spalding in him, and possibly split to cameo. I hatched four Spalding bs split to cameo males last season, and the colouring in the neck and breast areas were darker than a normal bs male and more buff in colour.

She was yellow, looked like a BS chick. I love her to much to sell her, sorry.

If it was all yellow like a BS when it hatched, you probably have something unique. Purple, Peach and Cameo all have some non-yellow color when they are born and both male and female BS get black markings as they molt to adulthood. If this one was solid yellow and now has no markings, it is different than normal.

I would guess this is a hen. If you have the dad or know who has the dad, you should bred this one back to him.

I am no expert, but that's what I was going to say. I really know nothing about colors, but I have never seen pictures of one like yours... It will be very interesting to see how she (i think it's a girl) matures. Again, looks very special and unique, how lucky are you, lol.

Well thanks, had no idea I got such a special pea. Yeah I will keep you guys updated. I can put pictures on of her when she was younger and show she was yellow and try and take new pictures of her soon. We've been so busy getting a big pen put together for our pea babies.
