Hey, do you guys believe Jesus is coming back in 2024? I am asking cause google said that was a thing a lot of Christians believe, and because my local radio stations have become half Christian in the span of 1 week, and it is getting close to new years. Also, if you know what is happening with the radio, let me know. I live in Portland, OR. This is just a question, and not meant to be rude, sorry if I offend anyone. I have been atheist all my life, so I don't know how these things work.
I used to identify vehemently as "Christian" and
believe in Armageddon and the second coming and all of it.. until I had this.. uhm, experience.. shall we say revelation or wake up call if you will, a KNOWING rather than a believing (NOT drug induced).. that it's a personal thing that happens in YOUR heart.. and reality and that changes
YOUR WHOLE world view.. it is not something that happens to the "world". (it did all happen in my mind, Armageddon etc)
The Bible calls it when "God is all in all".. then you know your connection to it all and that everything is "One".. NO more separation!
That is the second coming! SHHH.. don't tell the secret.. religion is a tool., and Jesus was crucified for it.
Again it's a personal thing.. that's why noone knows the day or the hour.. because it depends when YOUR time to wake up from the dream is.. And it may depend on YOUR experience.. Some have it through psychedelics, some through trauma, some through meditation, some through religious practices, etc.
The one thing I can tell you.. it's the end of fear mongering and the true beginning of "creation".. When you face your inner darkness (or deepest fears) and find the light..
I also used to believe in Santa Clause.. when that's what I was taught. Then I found out, ultimately I would become Santa.. Same same.. except there's no real naughty or nice list.. unlike humans that wanna make someone pay for their "misdeeds" or doing what's in their nature rather than rising above it.
In other words..
for ME.. it's already happened.. and now I judge not other's journeys nor try to break them from it or tell them follow me (or Jesus)/Christianity.. Everything I thought I knew was wrong.. Christianity is preaching damnation.. only through intense initiation may you ever find salvation.. but if no one tells you your damned (like they do in western religion) or you don't believe them.. then what? SIN doesn't belong to you.. it belongs to them and their projecting their damnation onto you. I can't be made guilty for someone else's doing, period. Sigh.. enough controversy.. for my first go at coming out of the closet!
Now the transformation and the so called "born again" process.. though I no longer identify with that whole version of "spirit quest" as being the one true religion.. all religion is the same. Getting over what I was born into.. and STILL CAPABLE OF
TRUE LOVE, including the darkness rather than denying it's existence. Accepting doesn't equal preferring.. but it does equal understanding and still seeing the being.
Please do not quote me for debate. If anything I say resonates for you then so be it but if not then please disregard as your faith is your own and I respect and appreciate that.
ETA: Death is an illusion.. but also part of the gift.
