Question for someone more computer savy than I am....

We have 2 desktop hp computers. My main one downstairs that has satilite internet access. We have a wireless router all set up and working.
Now, we have the wireless G usb adapter for the 2nd computer. What do I need to do to get the wireless internet to work on the other computer...I just can't seem to get it figured out.
Any input would be most helpful.

Is the first PC connected threw the router to the Internet or is it the other way around?
