Hi,
I am new to raising chickens. We live in Calvert County and want to get some chicks. Does anyone know where we can get some? We are not opposed to buying full grown chickens, but was looking forward to raising them fem babies.
Thanks!

Hi, ready4flight,
I'm also new to raising chicks. Started in May. I ordered all my babies on line. Mypetchicken and murray mcmurrey. Chicken math got to me. I was only gonna have 3. Have 10 now! Love it!

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

You might also try your state thread and chat with your chicken neighbors to see where you might find some birds....

Good luck and I hope you can find some soon!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! X2 on check out your state thread, and the BST forum, most mail order hatcheries are also still selling at least some breeds.

As 2 crows gave you the link, your state thread could be the best place to find what you want. Your local people may have the breeds and you could avoid the ordeal of having birds shipped. Plus maybe you can go and see them and pick and choose. Welcome to the flock.
