Ebay has the Genesis with universal egg turner for $86 shipped...is that a decent deal?

Also, I have some Midget White eggs...they do not seem much larger than a chicken egg...will turkey eggs fit in the chicken turner or do you have to choose to incubate one or the other? Is there anyway to incubate both?

Thanks!

The 1588 Genesis for $86 with the egg turner is a great deal. Normally they go for about $185. The price will probably go up a bit though as people bid because that is a great deal. I am not sure if the turkey eggs will fit in the turner. I guess it is something you will have to see when you get it or maybe someone with experience will tell you. I don't know if you can incubate them together since they have different incubation periods.

You can easily convert the chicken egg holders into one for larger eggs. Simply get some hardware cloth, cut it into strips the length of the holder and the width 3 times the width of the holder. Get some washers, screws and nuts. Bend the wire over a piece of wood to get the width of the holder and sides up like rails. The rails already have holes in them so you can easily attach the wire. Attach the hardware cloth and use the setup for the goose egg holders found on their site . You end up with 4 rails in the egg turner instead of 6. Best you can remove the hardware cloth if you want to go back to smaller eggs. You can see the result on this images of the original goose egg turner by the maker. You don't need the little plastic rails, but you can find them at Office Depot where they sell presentation folders.

yeah, it wasn't the 1588, it was the 1602 or something like that...I did not realize there was more than one genesis...

That price is a great deal. I bought mine directly from GQF and the two together were about 179.00 if I am remembering correctly. I had both bantams and LF in the chicken turner and they did well. I would just make sure they aren't going to get you in the end with large shipping costs. I used mine for the first time just now. We hatched yesterday. Plugged it in and temps were steady the entire time. No fluctuations at all.
