What is the weather like where you live and where you are buying shipped eggs?

The temperature has been from the teens up to 50s here. Mostly the 30s though. Thinking about going ahead and buying some eggs from Ebay of a breed (brlw) that I really really want. But not sure if the temps are ti cold for shipping and receiving eggs.

As long as the package doesn't spend time below freezing the eggs should be OK.
I believe you can pay extra for special handling for "animal embryos' that should get them gentle handling and kept at a milder temperature.

there are a couple hatch a longs going you are welcome to join us there>>> we love to see what folks have in the incubators

I ordered hatching eggs from a gal her on BYC and we are offically on day 9 so it will be fun to see what makes it!

What breed did u get. I ordered BRLW..
I started looking for marans, she shipped me gold crele legbars, black silver and blue silver marans as well as turkey eggs from her mixed color flock! We pulled all the clears and blood rings last night on day 8 so that we could move the eggs due to hatch this weekend into that incubator. we still have life in one of the legbars, 7 of the turkey and 11 of the marans! Wow after the shipping and the elevation change from 3000 to 6000 here where I am I will be happy if anything hatches.
